Hi!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog!

For those of you who do not know, I will be studying at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey for the Fall 2013 semester. I decided that because this is going to be a brand new experience for me, I would start a blog to chronicle my semester on the East Coast. I am going to try and update it once weekly on Saturday or Sunday rather than a daily post. Honestly, I do not think I would stay involved with this blog if I posted daily.

Right now, my room is a mess as I try to pack everything I need for three to four months in two suitcases and a carry-on. It is much easier to pack for that amount of time when you will using a pick-up truck to get to school for the year. The suitcases can't exceed fifty pounds without the airline charging extra, therefore Ziploc space bags are a helpful packing tool! I leave for New Jersey extremely early Monday morning, and by early I mean 3:30 in the morning. I don't think any normal people are going to be up then. I know I never am. If all of my flights go smoothly and taking a cab to the university goes the right way, I should arrive at school around  one or two in the afternoon, East Coast time.

This past week has been spent doing all the things with my parents that I like to do over the summer, namely going out to eat at certain restaurants, having Dad make meals that I've always liked, and going out to the local ice cream/sandwich drive in, Hoggie Doggies one last time before I leave for school.

While out on the East Coast, I hope to not only do everything cliched in New York, but I am also hoping to get some career advice from people in the editing and publishing industry. I figure if they are the ones doing the job that I want to do after college, they would be the ones to talk to in order to figure out how to get that job.

That's all I have to say for now, so sit back, relax and enjoy the ride of the upcoming months!
